2008 Guide To The Coolest Gifts

Welcome to Clevver.com-Im Joslyn Davis in our Beverly Hills studio. Its hard to believe that the holiday season is already upon us, and you know what that means—-shopping, shopping and more shopping. If youre like me, the stress and mayhem of the whole ordeal forces you to do the worst thing possible and wait until the very last minute to hit the mall. Well, we here at Clevver have compiled a little list of gifts and gadgets that are sure to be huge hits this holiday season.

Our first pick is something for all the kids and perhaps some of the adults on your gift list. RockBand -its the series thats credited with revolutionizing the world of gaming, by giving everyday people the chance to live out their rock and roll fantasies in the comfort of their own homes. I dont know if you can really put a price tag on the experience but the game bundle costs upwards of 150 bucks. And I highly suggest that if youre planning on gifting rock band, you should either do it now, or pre-order it soon because its sure to be a big item this December.

Up next on our gift list is the Peek. If the Blackbery is too pricey and too techy for you, check this device out because it only does one thing-email. It looks just like any normal PDA device but Itll only run you about 99 dollars and the monthy unlimited service is twenty bucks. Its a great handy tool for anyone this holiday season.

Our next pick is a gift so amazing that even Oprah gave it her seal of approval. Its Planet Earth, a DVD set from the Discovery Channel and it boasts some of the most jaw-dropping images and footage ever captured from various locations across the globe. The best part is that it retails at only fifty-five bucks and you might just learn something while you watch!

And now for the gift for the person who has everything. Why not give a gift that keeps giving? I suggest you check out thehungersite.com. It allows you to pick what chartity you’d like to sponsor. Maybe you’ll choose to Feed a U.S. Family for Five Weeks or send two girls to school in afganastan—both of which come in under 25 dollars. Its a pretty cool idea and definetely something to consider this holiday season.

And then of course there is the hottest techy gift on the market- and a sure hit with nerds and non-nerds alike-its googles answer to apples iphone. Just release a few weeks ago, the new g phone is getting rave reviews from users, who say its just like the iphone but its run by the most power search engine known to man-GOOGLE. At around $200 dollars a pop, Id say its worth the money-the only catch is that you have to be t-mobile subscriber—and the track record on this new device might be reason enough to switch your service.

And if none of these gift ideas suit your fancy, well then, may I suggest the most impersonal gift of all—people of all ages and interests seem to agree that when in doubt, you cant really go wrong with hard cold cash. And with our current economic status, it might be just what Santa ordered.

For all the latest in ways to survive and enjoy this holiday season keep watching us here at Clevver.com. And from our Clevver Family to yours Have a happy holiday season and a wonderful new year!
